Alix Szepesi and William Top the Scoreboard at Global Dressage Festival National Challenge

- Alix Szepesi of Hamilton, MA took top honors at the Global Dressage Festival National Challenge on Tuesday. The FEI dressage trainer, who winters in Wellington, rode William to an impressive 77.432% in the USEF First Level Test 2-Open at the Stadium show grounds of the Global Dressage Festival (GDF). Susanne Dutt-Roth of Canada came close to receiving the highest score with a 77.000% in the USEF Fourth Level Test 1-Open on D2. The GDF National Challenge was only the second show for the eight-year-old warmblood. 

The Global Dressage Festival also welcomed their first Para-Equestrian competitor on Tuesday. Jody Schloss of Canada scored impressively in both of her classes. In the FEI Para Test of Choice she scored a 74.118% on Inspector Rebus and in the FEI Para Freestyle Test of Choice the pair received a 75.500%.

GDF Schooling
Schooling opportunities are available for those competitors that are interested in having a look at the GDF show grounds before participating in an event. Riders just need to fill out a non-compete form at the show office upon arrival.

Anja Plönzke Dressage Clinic Series
Renowned international dressage trainer and competitor Anja Plönzke of Germany will be giving a series of clinics in the International arena at the Global Dressage Festival Stadium show grounds. The dates for the clinics are as follows: Clinic 1, March 12 & 13; Clinic 2: March 22 & 23; and Clinic 3: March 26 & 27.
