River Valley Welsh Club Offers Judge’s Clinic

by Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America | Apr 12, 2012, 4:20 PM

The River Valley Welsh Club will present an official WPCSA Judge’s Clinic, May 12, 2012 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

Current as well as prospective WPCSA judges are encouraged to attend this informative and worthwhile event. Individuals who own, breed and show Welsh are welcome to audit the clinic and participate in this great learning opportunity.

Well respected WPCSA judges, horsewomen and Wisconsin residents Kathleen Lindholm and Joann Williams will officiate during this two day clinic. Mrs. Lindholm has over 45 years of experience in all aspects of driving with many pony breeds. Mrs. Williams is a USDF gold medal winning dressage trainer and rider, and also has many years of experience with A circuit hunters. Both are licensed WPCSA judges.

To optimize the learning opportunities, live animals will be on hand and the clinicians will also use photos, handouts and video as teaching aids. Subject areas to be covered include in hand classes for all sections of registered animals including breed type, conformation and movement, English and Western pleasure, hunters, pleasure, draft and carriage driving, and Ridden Welsh Classic. This WPCSA judges’ clinic will be an excellent opportunity for current WPCSA judges to fulfill their continuing education and for prospective WPCSA judges to begin that process. It will also be a fun event for all fellow breed lovers to gather and learn. Detailed clinic and registration information can be found at www.rivervalleywelsh.com/events.

Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend!
