Courtney Barnett Named USEF Director of Reining

Lexington, KY — Effective October 17th, Courtney Barnett will take the position of Director of Reining for the United States Equestrian Federation. As Director of Reining, Barnett will assume responsibility for all high-performance and national aspects of the sport, including management of USEF championships and other events, as well as coordination with reining athletes. Barnett will work under the direction of Don Whittle, Director of FEI Affiliates.

“Courtney will be a welcome addition to the USEF,” said USEF Chief Executive Officer John Long. “Her experience with the NRHA and her love for the sport of reining makes her a fitting choice for this position. We’re looking forward to bringing her on board next month.”

Courtney Barnett is a graduate of Principia College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sport Management. Her employment experience includes Principia College’s Marshall Brooks Library as well as the National Reining Horse Association, where she helped to coordinate website, international membership and sponsorship activities.
