A Busy Summer in Europe

Over this past weekend, US team veterans of the 2008 Olympic Games and 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, Laura Kraut and Cedric galloped to a strong fourth place finish at the Global Champions Tour in Valencia, Spain. This kicked off what is sure to be a very busy summer in Europe for the US contingent.

On Friday, the first stop of the Top League FEI Nations Cup series takes place in La Baule, France. On Tour 1 Charlie Jayne, Margie Engle, Ashlee Bond, Rich Fellers and Chrissy McCrea will try to get jump in the standings at CSIO stops in La Baule, Rome and St. Gallen. Jayne, Enlgle, Bond and Fellers all head into the Nations Cup series after jumping in the 2011 Rolex/FEI World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany. While, the Final takes place indoors all these horses will look to stretch their legs over some of the most outstanding outdoor venues Europe has to offer.

Juniors and Young Riders also get into the act, as five Young Riders and two Juniors will travel to Europe and compete throughout continental Europe. Catherine Pasmore, Reed Kessler, Jessica Springsteen, Richard Neal, Karen Polle, Meg O’Mara and Victoria Birdsall will all look to gain valuable international experience.
