World Championship Show With Jessie

These last three days have been sooo busy! We get up at 6am and back to the hotel at around 1am! So let me give you an overview on what has been happening.

Today our 14 year old rider Theresa rode and boy did she ride the hair off of her horse! She was a sight minus a few pilot errors that every rider makes once in a while. She unfortunately did not place in her class but North Wind Stables were very proud of her.

This day would be a day I will always remember. I showed two of my favorite horses here at the world championship horse show. I first rode my horse CH Callaway's Royal Request. He was my first equation horse and I've had him off and on since I have been 9 years old. Two years ago he almost died because he had two stones the size of large grapefruits in his intestines. Luckily he was saved but I never imagined we would be able to show and complete on this level again! Like my faithful Royal who never lets me down, he carried me to the 3rd place! Of course I cried because this was a great placing and I was just so thrilled to be riding him! Six classes after I rode royal, I rode my new western horse Monti. He was perfect in the ring. He was right in the bridle, and very showy which is good to have in a class of 16. We captured 3rd place but I was told we could have won the class and that meant a lot to me!

Today we got the morning off and we decided to go to a vet named Dr. Bennett's farm named Alliance Stud. We went go to see our mare CH Steel in Love's recipient mare named Carrie who is carrying Lovie's baby! She was in great shape and was very well cared for which was good for us to know! After we left Alliance Stud we went to the Saddlebred Luncheon right outside the horse show. I was one out of three people to be picked to speak about how my life had changed having the Rescue horses in my life! I am not a very good speaker like my mom is, but I think I did a pretty good job!

The best part about tonight was I got a surprise! I was standing on the rail watching the show and my mom called me sounding urgent saying that my dog bibbi was very sick and needed to go to the vet ASAP! I rushed back to our stalls expecting the worse. I get there and my mom and her customers were there nonchalantly sitting in their chairs. Confused I looked in my dog's cage where she sat their waging her tail. As I turned around I saw my boyfriend standing in back of me! He came to watch me show the rest of the week! I was so excited to see him and I know this is a Louisville to remember!
