Louisville! Is it that time already???
I still can't believe it's already the last 2 weeks of August! We prepare this whole year just to go to the "Big Dance" and make lasting memories. But what a lot of people don't realize is how much work we go through as trainer's children to go to Louisville. Well I'll tell you my 2 days so far at the World Championship Horse Show and hopefully you can see a different side to "My Life."

• Today was the day we would leave for Louisville! The night before, my mom decided that we would leave at 9 am, but Theresa and Rayann (barn mates and my best friends) and I knew better! But like responsible young adults we got up at 7 am to begin the day and pack our suitcases in the trailer. When I arrived back at the house, my wonderful boyfriend, Drew, came to say goodbye and spend a couple hours with me before I had to leave. As soon as we got into the house, we noticed my puppy Bibbi... was well, "becoming a woman"... so we had to run out and buy diapers for her for the 12 hour car ride ahead of us. By the time we came back from the store around 9 am it was time to load the horses. 9 horses later, I had a sad goodbye with my boyfriend and we were on our way at 10 am.
My mom, Theresa, Rayann and I were on our 12 hour trip to the WCHS. And we were extremely bored. We made about 3 stops and each time was to get water for the horses. We went through 2 HUGE rain storms which at least kept the temperature down for the horses but increased the car ride length.
Finally, we arrived in KY! Around 12 am. The girls and I decided the best thing to do was to help by unpacking the trailer so we wouldn't be at the horse show until 4 in the morning and so we did. We finished around 1:30 am and we heard some bad news...not only did my western horse hurt his eye, but one of our other horses was not feeling well either. By the time we gave both horses their medicine we were in the hotel room and asleep by 3:30 am.

• Half asleep, we were awakened by my mom at 9 am to get up and get ready to go the show. We went to Bob Evans (our favorite breakfast place to eat at when we are not rushed). After breakfast we had to go and set up for the show and get flowers to place outside our tack room.
Around 12 pm we finished setting up and mom sent me and the girls on many errands. It would have taken us 30 minutes but you see my mom thinks of things last minute, so we made a BILLION trips back and forth.
We got back to the horse show and visited numerous amounts of people. One special person in particular was my dad, Mayo Moctezuma, who lives in Illinois. It was great to see him and I'm thinking about staying with him a couple nights down here to spend time together. But anyway, soon after all that we ate lunch around 4 pm and then talked to many more people. Mom and Jason (my brother) wanted to get some rest so we all headed back to the hotel around 7 pm. The best thing about coming back early to the hotel was the idea of being able to swim!!! But because I am like my mom and think of things last minute, I realized I forgot my bathing suit! So my great plan on swimming today went downhill. So I guess tonight i'll watch some Smallville, maybe the Twilight movie, and sleep with Bibbi! I'm trying to save my energy for this week! You guys better be ready for what's coming!!!
