Young Riders Are Off to a Great Start in Europe

Some quick updates from the Bonheiden CSIOY/J.

Young Rider

American Young Riders competing in Belgium this week have so far taken first place in two classes and finished in the top ten four other times. 

Leading the pack are Jennifer Goddard and Stateside Farm’s Ungaro de la Hot Couture. Together they took first in Thursday’s 1.2m 2 phase class and Friday’s 1.3m Table C class. Jennifer (Fort Solanga, NY) also finished third in the 1.3m Jump Off class Thursday riding Stateside Farm’s Unique.

Lydia Ulrich (Rochester, NY) riding Up the Creek Farm’s Tiger Lilly II finished seventh in the 1.2m 2 phase class Thursday.

Annie Cook (Woodside, CA) and Signe Ostby's Banba finished 8th in Thursday’s 1.3m Jump Off class.

Alise Oken (Charlotte, NC) finished second and eighth in Friday’s 1.3m Table C class riding Hi Hopes Farm’s Marcus Quintus and Kaid du Ry respectively

Junior

American Junior combination Sydney Shulman and Zimza La Bim have shared in the success. Shulman (Greenwich, CT) and Maria Werner's Holsteiner Gelding beat out  81 other competitiors to win Thursday’s 1.2m Speed class. They carried that momentum into Friday and won the 1.2m Table C class.
