Bruheim and Tackeray began the week in the 1.25m Open Jumpers, where they placed third with a double clear effort. Proving that they were ready for a challenged they moved up to the High Junior/Amateur-Owner division, where a fault free round earned them a blue ribbon prize, as well as the third place honors. They concluded on a high note in the $5,000 EMO Jumper Classic, where they finished in the second place position.
"This was my first show on Tackeray and he was amazing," smiled Bruheim. "He was fast and double clean in our first class, so we decided to the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers together I could not be happier! He amazed me again on the last day with his excellent finish in the $5,000 EMO Jumper Classic."
During the Show Jumper Classic, Bruheim also competed with NLF Trans Atlantic, who finished in third, just behind Tackeray, during the $5,000 EMO Jumper Classic. With NLF Valhall, Bruheim won the High Adult Amateur Jumpers, while pacing fifth with Jessika.
"NLF Trans Atlantic is coming back nicely from his injury, and I am really pleased with the way he has been jumping," said Bruheim. "All of the horses were great this weekend, so I am really pleased with our results."
Next week, Eirin Bruheim and Nordic Lights Farm will contiue to compete at the Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, TX, while professional rider Peter Pletcher and NLF Shakespeare's Rhythm will head east to compete during the prestigious Devon Horse Show in Devon, PA.
Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 19-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 17-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
