Paso Fino Horse Association Scholarship Drive Successful

by By Sarah Holt | Oct 6, 2005, 11:09 AM

The Paso Fino Horse Association Scholarship Committee has successfully launched its 2005-2006 Fundraising Campaign with its First Trainer Services Auction. The committee teamed up with the Professional Trainers’ Association to raise more than $22,000 at the national show. The auction allowed members to bid on two months of training and board with some of the top trainers in the breed.

Dwight Graber, Scholarship Committee member, praised Trainers’ Association President Alice Page and “super volunteer” Trina McCollum for their work in securing the donated services. The trainers who did not receive bids have graciously agreed to allow continued bidding through October 31, 2005. A list of available trainers is featured at www.pfha.org. For more information, bidders are encouraged to contact Trina at (352)598-0451.

In other Scholarship Committee news, United Paso Fino Show Horses, Inc., of Summerfield, FL, donated Origen de la Luisa, a beautiful bay stallion, to the committee. Origen was sold during the auction at the national show and all proceeds from his sale went to the scholarship fund.
