United States Pony Club Past President James K. Ligon Passes Away

Lexington, KY– James K. Ligon, 9/25/1947 – 6/4/2012, United States Pony Club graduate, past Board of Governors President and long-time USPC supporter passed away after a brief battle with cancer on June 4th, 2012.

Jim loved the Pony Club and served it in many capacities including two terms as President, 1978-1980 and 1987-1990. Jim was a Graduate B from Redland Hunt Pony. He received the USPC Founders Award in 1998 and was named a Pony Club Legend at the USPC 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2004. Those who had the privilege of knowing Jim will know what a loss this is. He was a wonderful man and a staunch Pony Club supporter. He will be missed. There will be a memorial service for Jim in the weeks ahead. Details are not known at this time.
