by Jacksonville Extravaganza | Jun 19, 2012, 11:36 AM

“Extravaganza” is one of the most important shows of the Paso Fino breed during the competition season. This year, 2012, is the 28th Anniversary of the show and for the first time it will be held at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is among the best venues in the Nation and second to none in Florida!  The debut of this show in Jacksonville will accompany the presentation of $10,000.00 in prize money!!!

The Extravaganza show will be judged using the Five Judge “Equuitable™” System where judges will submit their placing through an iPad and once the results are once tabulated, will drop the top/high and bottom/low positions to come up with the final placing.

Pre-Extravaganza will take place on Thursday as a complete show with two judges; Honorable Nicanor Miranda and Donald Schanche, providing separate decisions and double points. Friday and Saturday will be the Extravaganza; Friday will consist of Fillies and Mares (Open/Professional) classes and Amateur Owners competing their colts, geldings, and stallions in their respective Pleasure, Performance, and Classic Fino classes. Saturday will showcase colts, geldings, and stallions (Open/Professional) classes and Amateur Owner will be riding their fillies and mares.  Interestingly, this year Friday’s and Saturday’s the Pleasure, Performance and Classic Fino championships will be on primetime.

Accommodations: Extravaganza has blocks of rooms at the Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and at the Holiday Inn Express for your convenience. These facilities are across of each other and within 10 minutes of the arena.
