Lexington, KY – The deadline is fast approaching for the United States Equestrian Federation’s 2005 Pegasus Awards for Media. Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14. Don’t miss out on this unprecedented opportunity to earn a Bronze Pegasus statue, one of the highest honors the USEF bestows. Awards will be presented in ten categories, to honor outstanding achievements in the coverage of Equestrian in the United States, whether in aspects of sport, lifestyle or issues. In addition, two awards will be given for overall excellence: the Daniel P. Lenehan Memorial Trophy and the President’s Award for Media Excellence.
This year’s categories include: Best Publication of the Year; Best Specialized Publication of the Year; Best News Article; Best Feature Article; Best Website; Best Television News Broadcast; Best Television Feature Broadcast; Best Audio Broadcast; Best News Photograph and Best Feature Photograph.
The 2005 Pegasus Awards for Media will be presented formally during the United States Equestrian Federation Annual Meeting in January 2006, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
