Gil Merrick Named USEF Director of Dressage Sport Programs

(Lexington, KY) - Gil Merrick joined the USEF as Director of Dressage Sport Programs on October 11th. Mr. Merrick will be based in the Lexington Headquarters and report directly to Jim Wolf, Executive Director of Sport Programs in our Gladstone office. In addition to his experience in showing and training dressage horses, Mr. Merrick has a strong career background in the management of international businesses most specifically in internal operations, financial planning, growth management and staff training. He has an MBA from Cleveland State University and a BA from Hiram College in Ohio. Additionally, Mr. Merrick is fluent in German.

"We are very much looking forward to having Gil on our team at the USEF. His extensive experience in both the for-profit and non-profit business sectors coupled with his knowledge of dressage and the German language make him a valuable addition to our staff," said Mr. Wolf.

Mr. Merrick’s responsibilities include coordination of all USEF national and international activities for the sport of Dressage. Reporting to him will be Ms. Marilyn Adams in the Gladstone office managing the High Performance programs, and Ms. Jennifer Keeler, in the Lexington headquarters, managing National programs.
