The Junior Colorado Arabian Horse Club Presents the JCAHC Stallion Showcase National Silent Auction

by By Shawna Strickland, JCAHC Vice President and Showcase Coordinator | Oct 13, 2005, 11:50 AM

The youth of the Junior Colorado Arabian Horse Club has compiled a national silent auction of breedings generously donated by stallion owners from across the country. The showcase presents a unique opportunity to select from a variety of quality stallions that specialize in every discipline, from halter to English pleasure. And, even better, all proceeds will benefit the support and outreach programs of the JCAHC.

In the past two years, the JCAHC has donated $1,250 to Colorado equine charities, including the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center and the Colorado Horse Rescue. The Club also supported the Arabian Youth Nationals Championship Show through class and participant t-shirt sponsorships. In addition, the JCAHC provides a forum for Colorado youth to become more involved in the Arabian industry on a state, regional and national level. The past two presidents of the Arabian Horse Youth Association have been JCAHC alumni and the current AHYA Secretary is a JCAHC member. However, despite the club's charitable involvement and successes, funds are dwindling rapidly and the livelihood of this wonderful organization is threatened.

Thus, the Executive Board of the JCAHC has organized the Stallion Showcase and has brought it to the national level. Stallions currently enrolled in the Showcase include, but are not limited to: AA Nocturne, Bandango SSA, Beaus Nberry Bey, Bolero Bey, Elegant SA, JK Amadeus, Khemosonni+/, Khornerstone KPM, KL Explosive, Legacy of Gold, Magniffico Mystyk, Psyches Safari, SH Redemption, Viva Van Crabbet, WA Pejczyk, and Wall Street VN. As is apparent, the Showcase is comprised of quality specimens of the Arabian breed.

Bidding is to begin November 1, 2005, and close December 2, 2005. Bids will be accepted via e-mail or telephone, but must be confirmed via post mail with an AHA or USEF membership number and a signed statement guaranteeing that payment will be made should the bidder win the breeding. The Showcase is open to any who wish to bid.
