The HorseTV Channel announced that it has acquired exclusive North American broadcast rights to all of the FEI events, including the FEI World Equestrian Games 2006. The multi-year deal memorandum was signed today by the The HorseTV Channel and Alastair Martin-Bird, CEO of MBPtv, television coordinators for the FEI.
“The acquisition of the exclusive North American broadcast rights is dually significant for The HorseTV Channel. It ensures our network access to an important source of programming and expands our relationship within the global equestrian community,” said George Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of The HorseTV Channel. “Most importantly, our audience will have access to some of the most prestigious equestrian competitions available.”
The HorseTV Channel viewers will enjoy FEI events, such as the FEI World Cup Jumping qualifying and Finals competitions, the Samsung Super League Jumping Series, the FEI European Championships and the FEI World Equestrian Games, representing the world’s finest horses and riders.
“The HorseTV Channel and the FEI have been working diligently in building this venture,” said Martin-Bird, “and we are pleased with the abundant possibilities available to us through this collaboration.”
The HorseTV Channel will work with the FEI in bringing additional broad-range exposure to a number of its events that are currently only broadcast locally within the host countries.
