by By Sarah Holt | Nov 3, 2005, 10:33 AM

Now is the time to nominate an individual or a horse to be considered for induction into the Paso Fino Hall of Fame. Individuals must be in good standing with the Paso Fino Horse Association and must have been inactive in PFHA-sanctioned events for a period of five years or must be age 60 or older as of September 1, 2006. If deceased, the nominee must have been in good standing at the time of death. The nominee must have invested a minimum of five years, regionally or nationally, in helping to promote the Paso Fino breed. A biography must accompany nomination listing accomplishments and contributions to the breed.

Horses must be registered with the Paso Fino Horse Association and have been inactive in PFHA shows and breeding activities for a period of five years, inactive in competitive trail riding for two years, or must be age 20 or older as of September 1, 2006. The horse and recorded owner/owners must be in good standing with the Paso Fino Horse Association and if deceased must have been in good standing at the time of death. The horse must meet at least one of the following criteria: a) Must have produced eligible show offspring, or b) Demonstrated itself to be outstanding in the show ring or in competitive trail competition. The horse must have influenced the breed in a positive manner. A biography must accompany nomination documenting accomplishments and contributions to the breed.

Nominations must be made by a current member and should be limited to one typed page and must be received in the PFHA office by March 3, 2006. Complete criteria is available in the November issue of Paso Fino Horse World and on the Paso Fino Horse Association website at www.pfha.org.
