FTI WEF Competition Schedule Update for Thursday, February 28

Wellington, FL - Equestrian Sport Production announces the competition schedule update for Thursday, February 28, at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival.   

The $43,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round 8 is scheduled to start at 4 pm (pending test results). In consultation with the ground jury and agreement with all seven international Chefs d'Equipe, the class has been changed from 1.50m jump-off to 1.50m speed format (238.2.1). The prize money has increased by $10,000 to $43,000 from today's cancelled Welcome Classes. 

Following the Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup, a clear round competition will be held in the International Arena for those international riders that wish to jump under the lights in preparation for Friday's Nations Cup. The water jump will be used as an option. It is maximum two horses per rider. Declarations for this class will close at 12 pm noon on Thursday, February 28. 

The schedule for Thursday in the International Arena will begin at 8 am with the G&C Farm 1.45m Jumpers (class 1003), followed by the $5,000 Hollow Creek Farm Young Rider Classic at 10 a.m. (class 106), then the $2,500 Hollow Creek Farm Junior Rider Classic (class 107), and the Hollow Creek Farm Children's Rider Classic (class 108), then the $43,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round 8. 

All other competition for the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival is running as scheduled.
