St. Christopher’s Horse Show Prize List Now Available Online

 The St. Christopher’s Horse Show, which returns to Pennsylvania’s scenic Lebanon Valley region at the historic Quentin Riding Club in Quentin, PA, May 8-12, has posted its prize list online. The prize list gives information on the many classes available to riders as well as additional information. 

The prize list details the tentative time schedule, lists the show’s officials and lays out the prizes and entry fees for each class.

“We hope that everyone will look through our prize list and find the classes that interest them,” said show producer Annette Longenecker of Ryegate Show Services.  “The large number of classes, prizes and things to do at the show should make for a great week in Pennsylvania in May!”

Judging in Hunters, Equitation, and Pleasure:

Highlighting this year's horse show is U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) “AA”-rated hunter classes, a Hunter Breeding Division, Young Jumper divisions and the $10,000 St. Christopher’s Mini Prix. Additional featured classes include Marshall & Sterling (M&S), North American League (NAL) and Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) Classics. Riders competing in M&S, NAL and WIHS League classes earn valuable points toward qualifying for their respective year-end Finals.

The Equitation Division includes THIS Children’s Medal, Ariat Adult Medal, Equisport/US Pony Medal, Pessoa US Medal, Marshall & Sterling Children’s & Adult Medal and WIHS Equitation classes, plus Leadline, Short Stirrup & Walk Trot classes.

The Hunter Divisions include USHJA National Hunter Derby, Pony Hunter, Green Pony Hunter, Junior Hunter, Amateur Owner 3’6” and 3’3” Hunter.  Professional Hunters include First Year Green, Second Year Green, High Performance, Performance 3’3” & 3’6”-3’9” and Pre-Green.  Various schooling opportunities exist with a variety of divisions set below 3’. Also included is Ladies Hunter Side Saddle and classics for Ponies, Juniors, Amateur Owners, Adult Amateur and Children’s Horse and Pony.

The schedule for the Jumper Division includes schooling classes from 0.85m up to 1.20m. In addition, there are Junior/Amateur-Owner, Pony, Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumper sections.

This year’s horse show also continues the St. Christopher's tradition of offering a wide array of classes in its Hunter Breeding Division.
On Thursday, May 9, the St. Christopher’s Horse Show will host a USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Stake in the afternoon.

A new and exciting opportunity is coming to the show this season, as the show staff is pleased to announce the horse show will be taking part in the TAKE2 Second Career Thoroughbred Program. This program was developed by the New York Thoroughbred Horseman’s Association, along with the New York Racing Association and New York Thoroughbred Breeders Inc. The goal of the program is to offer new opportunities for off the track Thoroughbreds, as well as promoting the use of the breed in competition.

The St. Christopher’s Horse Show is a USEF Recognized Show, with AA Hunters.  It is also a regular member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Professional Horsemen’s Association, Pennsylvania Horse Show Association, Pennsylvania Jumper Association, Maryland Horse Shows Association, North American League, Washington International Horse Show, Central Pennsylvania Junior Horse Show Association, Marshall & Sterling, and the Young Jumper Championships (YJC).
