Wellington, FL
- This marks the final week of The Ridge 1.40m Grand Prix Invitational Series. For the past nine weeks, professional, junior and amateur jumpers alike have enjoyed the classes at The Ridge at Wellington and the grass field at Mida Farm. For weeks, these riders have been competing not only for ribbons each week, but to be named as the Leading Rider in the series finale on Saturday, March 23.

Going into the final week, Andres Rodriguez is in the lead for the title of Leading Rider, with a total of $20,000. This is the last chance for Rodriguez to hold onto his lead and keep his hold on the $24,750 purse. Rodriguez has achieved two first place ribbons, a second and a fourth at the Grand Prix Series.

Coming up on his heels, is Darragh Kenny. Kenny was the winner of last week's class with Any Given Sunday, with a time of 33 seconds, leaving his competitors in the dust. Other riders competing for the Leading Rider title include: Laura Kraut, Sarah Segal and McLain Ward.

The series culminates with the Ridge at Wellington 1.40m Invitational Series Finale March 23, 2013. The purse at stake on that Saturday is $24,750-an unprecedented prize at the Level II Jumpers.

Although the finale is open to all Level II riders, it is recommended that riders take their turn at the course on Friday, March 15, at Tops Field at Mida Farm. The Friday event will run from 8 am to 5 pm. Riders are encouraged to get their entries in as soon as possible for the approaching Friday Grand Prix. Turning in entries early will ensure that they get the time that they desire.

Entries are available at www.theridgefarm.com.
