by By Sarah Holt | Dec 7, 2005, 4:25 AM

The Paso Fino Horse Association (PFHA) is offering to its members, for a period of 45 days, a reduced registration fee for horses over 720 days of age. The normal membership rate for this registration is $495. The reduced registration fee will be $175. The normal fee for genetic testing will be in addition to the registration fee.

The registration applications for horses 720 days or older will be offered this reduced fee if the application for registration is postmarked from April 1, 2006, until May 15, 2006. Any other postmark or registrations currently in the PFHA office will not be eligible for this reduced fee.

All current PFHA registry requirements (rules) must be met to qualify for registration. This includes, but is not limited to, the sire, the dam and the applicant horse must be DNA tested, the applicant horse is required to qualify as an offspring of the reported sire and dam, correct signatures based on the ownership history on file with the association are required and all fees have been paid.

The recorded owner(s) of the dam at the time of foaling must be a current PFHA member(s) for the reduced fee. Additionally, should the recorded owner(s) of the dam at the time of foaling are not to be the recorded owner(s) of the applicant horse, a transfer will be required and the applicable transfer fee will apply.

ALL requirements for registration must be at the association office not later than August 14, 2006, or the processing will be terminated and all fees will be forfeited. If the registration application is resubmitted after August 14, 2006, the current registration fee at the time of submission will apply.
