Thousand Oaks, CA
- The Horse Radio Network provides the equestrian world with an entertaining and impressive line-up of radio shows for multiple disciplines. Executive Director of the Horse Radio Network, Glenn the Geek, makes it his goal to provide informative yet enjoyable radio shows for everyone in the equestrian industry. On April 25, 2013 the Dressage Radio Show, featuring regular hosts Reese Koffler-Stanfield and Philip Parks, handed the reins over to United States Para-Equestrian Association's (USPEA)Lindsay McCall and para-dressage rider Susan Treabess. McCall and Treabess had two outstanding guests including Kristi Wysocki and Gil Merrick on the show speaking about topics in the para-equestrian world. Kristi Wysocki, who was on the 2012 U.S. para-dressage selection committee, is a USEF licensed "S" dressage judge, an "R" dressage sport horse judge, and an FEI 3* para-dressage judge. Her expertise on judging a para-equestrian dressage rider versus judging an able-bodied dressage rider gives the listener a unique angle from the judge's seat.

Gil Merrick, who was the former USEF High Performance Dressage Director, and the U.S. Dressage Team Leader, talked to Treabess and McCall about the importance of team-building. He reviewed why our industry needs a pipeline and how symposiums like the 2013 U.S. Para-Equestrian Dressage Symposium May 29-June 1 will help to grow the discpline. He also mentioned how HorseShow.com is changing logistic issues for riders everywhere.

McCall and Treabess wrapped up the radio show with industry news topics including first radio show guest, Derrick Perkins, earning his qualifying score for the 2013 Para-Equestrian Dressage National Championships aboard NTEC Richter Scale. Other news included the 2014 World Para-Driving Championships receiving two bids for hosting by countries Germany and Great Britain, the 2013 U.S. National Training Symposium May 29-June 1 at Carlisle Academy in Maine, and the upcoming CPEDI3* in Rancho Murietta, CA.

Although Para-Dressage is the main event, listeners will get the opportunity to learn more about the skillful U.S. Para-Driving Team, the para-reining discipline, para-vaulting, and the future of para-jumping. The para-equestrian dressage show will feature a line-up of guests including olympians, paralympians, trainers, coaches, professionals, amateur riders, young riders, and equine enthusiasts. The intention of the new radio show is to educate, inform, and entertain listeners on the para-equestrian Dressage discipline.
