The Mozart Memorial Vaulting Classic organized at the world class Equestrian facility – Spirit Equestrian in Somis, California, is the brainchild of Patty Littmann. Patty has dedicated the event to the world famous vaulting horse Mozart. Mozart's story began when he was imported by Malibu Equestrian Estate and sold to Patty. Mozart went on to be one of the most influential vaulting horses in USA vaulting history.

Nicknamed: “Mr Dependability”, many world champion vaulters representing the USA had achieved great accomplishments both internationally and nationally. For all of his accomplishments Patty wanted to make sure that he is never forgotten.
