As an exceptional representation of the Friesian breed, there is no question why 11-year-old Goffert 369, owned by Iron Spring Farm, is a part of Breyer's new line of Traditional models for 2006. This striking and athletic stallion is captured in Breyer's newest sculpture, created by Kathleen Moody, in a graceful extended trot. A natural showman, Goffert excels in the grand prix dressage ring with his stunning and versatile movements.
Foaled in 1994, Goffert is a 16.3-hand breeding stallion that has shown successfully at grand prix under Belinda Narin-Wertman, often scoring above 68%. In 2004, Goffert placed fourth in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the prestigious Dressage at Devon show. Shortly thereafter, he was invited back to his homeland in The Netherlands to perform at the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Friesian Stud Book; an honor befitting this brilliant stallion. Goffert's career highlights showcase his great temperament and quality breeding. A refined head and neck, a silky black coat and a luxurious mane and tail are also traits of Goffert's exceptional breeding.
Goffert was imported to Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, PA, in 2002. Iron Spring Farm is known for offering the best sport horse sires in America and having the best breeding record in the country today. Each stallion has unique skills, special qualities and a proven ability to pass them on to their offspring. Hundreds of these offspring have gone on to become champions in local, regional, national and international competitions.
A combination of talent and beauty, Goffert 369 is a wonderful addition to the Breyer line of models and a perfect way to introduce Breyer's newest sculpture.
