Aurora, Colo. - The Arabian Horse Association (AHA) is excited to announce its return to Raleigh, N.C., for the 15th annual Sport Horse National Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show. Displaying the athleticism and diversity of the Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Anglo-Arabian horse and taking place at the Gov. James B. Hunt Jr. Horse Complex, the show runs from Tuesday, September 5, through Sunday, September 10, and will be streamed live by the Arabian Horse Global Network.

With nearly $34,500 in prize money at stake, competitors will compete in approximately 120 different classes, including the disciplines of dressage, working hunter, jumper, driving, sport horse under saddle, sport horse in hand, and carriage pleasure driving. The Arabian & Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes (ABS) $15,000 Young Horse Dressage class makes its second appearance at Sport Horse Nationals after a successful start in 2016.

Several special events and new classes are included in this year’s event schedule. Sport Horse Nationals has added Western Dressage Basic, Level 1, and Level 2 Championships. Additionally, the third annual Sport Horse Nationals Silent Auction will benefit the Arabian Horsemen’s Distress Fund (AHDF) and Duke Children’s Hospital. Auction items will be accepted at the show, with the auction beginning on Tuesday, September 5, at 12 p.m. ET and running through Saturday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
