The Equestrian Businesswomen (EQBW) Summit will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The EQBW Summit will provide thought-provoking and inspiring speakers talking about timely, relevant topics to help engage, support, and inform equestrian businesswomen.
Equestrians in roles as riders, trainers, and entrepreneurs in industries as varied as the hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, racing, reining, and more are all welcome to attend the EQBW Summit, which is supported by Founding Partner AON, and join our community. Everyone will offer unique skill sets and through collaboration this community can be used to help each other across the various industries.
The EQBW Summit will begin with keynote speaker Tracey Noonan. Tracey is the CEO and Co-Founder of Wicked Good Cupcakes, Inc. along with daughter, Dani Vilagie, and appeared on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning show, “Shark Tank”. The motivational speaker for the first annual EQBW Summit is para-dressage rider Béatrice de Lavalette. Béatrice will tell her story of courage, perseverance, and focus as she recovered from a catastrophic injury with the help of her horse.
The informational panels at the EQBW Summit offer a wide variety of insight and experience in running an equestrian business and the networking lunch offers great opportunities to meet like-minded businesswomen.
The “Building a Successful Equestrian Business” panel, held in partnership with the US Equestrian Annual Meeting, features such businesswomen as Lisa Roskens from International Omaha, Lisa Lourie from Spy Coast Farm, Alexandra Cherubini from EquiFit, inc., Noel Asmar from Asmar Equestrian, and Dressage Olympian Ashley Holzer.
Additional panels include:
- Jobs Panel – “So You’re Not a Pro Rider. Job searches off the saddle.”
- Social Media Panel – Do You Really Need Snapchat? What’s your social strategy?”
- Work/Life Balance Panel – “Put the Phone Down. Finding balance in a connected world.”
- The Power of Media and Membership
Presentations include:

The EQBW Summit is held next door to the US Equestrian Annual Meeting, and Annual Meeting attendees are welcome to attend the Summit as their schedule allows.
