Harrisburg, Pa. – A large field of top equitation competitors will contest the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Around 250 of the nation’s top junior equestrians will compete head-to-head for the Adrian Van Sinderen Memorial Trophy on Sunday, October 14.

Judges Robin Rost Brown (Morriston, Fla.) and Geoff Teall (Wellington, Fla.) will design a course to test the abilities of the competitors. After all participants have completed the first round, the judges will call back a select group of riders for a second round. Traditionally, the top four contenders are then asked to return for further testing, which can include a variety of formats, in what is the most impressive phase of the Final.

The 2018 Final has several riders who placed in the top tier in recent years, including 2017 third-place finisher Sam Walker (Ontario, Canada), 2016 second-place finisher Annabel Revers (Weston, Mass.), and 2016 third-place finisher McKayla Langmeier (East Granby, Conn.).
