Perry, Ga. - The 2017 Paso Fino Horse Association (PFHA) Grand National Championship Show promises to deliver six days of world-class competition featuring the best Paso Fino horses in the nation exhibited by professional, amateur, and youth riders fighting for the glory of winning the ultimate title. Though the show is going on as planned, the thoughts and prayers of those at PFHA are with the people and animals that have been affected by the recent hurricanes.

Nearly 1,000 exhibitors and 555 Paso Fino horses will compete at the Georgia National Fairgrounds beginning today through Saturday, September 23. Showcasing the evenly spaced, four-beat lateral gait that is natural to the Paso Fino breed, riders and handlers will exhibit the Fino, Corto, and Largo speeds in 176 different classes across a variety of disciplines. Learn more about the different Paso Fino gaits. Thursday and Friday evening, September 21 and 22, offer the largest classes and are a thrill to spectators in attendance. Special presentations for Trainer of the Year and Hall of Fame inductions will take place Friday evening, September 22.

In addition to unparalleled competition, the event also hosts food, clothing, jewelry, and tack vendors in a shopping exhibit that runs concurrent with the show. Additionally, exhibitors can participate in an exhibitor party sponsored by US Equestrian on Thursday evening, September 21. Live music and dinner will be included. The 2017 PFHA Silent Auction will also take place during the show. With a goal of raising $10,000 to support PFHA initiatives such as youth committee programs and rescue horse assistance, bidding will be available in Reaves Arena beginning at noon on Monday, September 18.

Competition, held in the Reaves Arena, begins daily at 8:00 a.m. EST and runs until the completion of the daily class schedule. The show will be streamed live on PFHAlive.com and the USEFNetwork.
