Lexington, Ky. - US Equestrian has named the following combinations as nominated entries for the 2017 FEI World Driving Championships for Ponies, August 15-20, in Minden-Kutenhausen, Germany:
Pair Pony
Katie Whaley (Paris, Ky.) with her own Tommy, a 2003 Welsh Cross gelding, and Tanner, a 2006 Welsh Cross gelding, and Barbara Sims’s Night Flyer, a 2000 Welsh Section C gelding
Single Pony
Leslie Berndl (Newcastle, Calif.) with Teressa Kandianis’s Sweetwater’s Zorah Belle, a 2004 Norwegian Fjord mare
Miranda Cadwell (Southern Pines, N.C.) with her own Cannon’s Majestic Leyla, a 2003 Welsh Cross mare
Tracey Morgan (Beallsville, Md.) with her own Fuego 88, a 2001 German Riding Pony gelding
Note: FEI rules permit the U.S. to submit two entries per class. US Equestrian has requested that the organizers allow the U.S. to enter another individual in the single pony championship in hopes all U.S. nominated entries may compete in the championship.
Jennifer Matheson will serve as the Chef d’Equipe.
