US Equestrian Annual Meeting Coverage Highlights

Keep up to date on the Annual Meeting with coverage in our daily Annual Meeting Reports, which will hit your email inbox every day during the Jan. 17-20 meeting in Lexington, Ky. Check out this year’s complete Annual Meeting schedule here (all times are Eastern). Highlights include

  • Live streams. On Thursday, Jan. 18, USEF Network will stream both the General Session (8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) and the Pegasus Awards (7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.).
  • New: Competition and Member Summit. This new forum takes place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, the day before the 2018 Annual Meeting gets underway. The summit is open to all members free of charge and does not require Annual Meeting registration. Moderated by US Equestrian board member Tom O’Mara, the summit will cover such topics as the costs of competing in equestrian sport, competition organizer challenges, competition standards, and prize money and bonus money.
  • New: Moderated forums. Wednesday, Jan. 17, features important news you can use at our new moderated forums from 1:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., with conversations about SafeSport, crisis management, and coaching registration.
  • A preview of the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games™ on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m. with Mark Bellissimo, founder and chief executive of host site Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.
  • The Affiliate Roundtable. This key meeting on Friday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. brings together representatives from US Equestrian’s 29 breeds and disciplines for wide-ranging discussion on a variety of topics.
  • The Horse of the Year Awards. We celebrate the year-end achievements of equestrians and their horses at this gala affair on Friday, Jan. 19. The Awards ceremony takes place 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Collegiate/Scholastic Equestrian Summit. We close out the 2018 Annual Meeting with a meeting of collegiate and scholastic equestrian organizations. Topics include helpful US Equestrian resources, educational affiliate partnerships, and ideas for growth.
