US Equestrian Confirms Definite Entries of NetJets® U.S. Jumping Team for FEI World Equestrian Games ™ Tryon 2018

by US Equestrian Communications Department | Sep 9, 2018, 6:32 PM

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian is pleased to confirm the definite entries for the NetJets U.S. Jumping Team for the FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) Tryon 2018. Led by Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland, the following athlete-and-horse combinations will represent the U.S. in the jumping arena in Tryon:

Laura Kraut (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) with Zeremonie, Old Willow Farms LLC’s 11-year-old Holsteiner mare

Devin Ryan (Long Valley, N.J.) with Eddie Blue, LL Show Jumpers LLC’s nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Adrienne Sternlicht (Greenwich, Conn.) with Cristalline, Starlight Farms LLC’s nine-year-old Bavarian Warmblood mare

McLain Ward (Brewster, N.Y,) with Clinta, the 11-year-old Oldenburg mare he owns with Sagamore Farms

In consultation with his supporters, owners, and Chef d’ Equipe Robert Ridland, Ward chose Clinta as his mount for the WEG. His longtime international partner and 2017 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final Champion, HH Azur, sustained a minor injury following competition at the 2018 World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen. In the best interest of “Annie,” the decision was made for Ward to compete with Clinta at the WEG.

Beezie Madden (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and Darry Lou, Abigail Wexner’s 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion, will serve as the reserve combination for the NetJets U.S. Jumping Team.
