US Equestrian Names Combinations for the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 Endurance Test Event

by US Equestrian Communications Department | Feb 20, 2018, 1:50 PM

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian (USEF) has announced the athlete-and-horse combinations that have been invited to compete in the Endurance Test Event for the FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) Tryon 2018. The WEG Endurance Test Event takes place Thursday, April 26 through Saturday, April 28 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center and provides athletes and WEG team selectors an opportunity to learn more about the endurance course terrain in preparation for endurance competition at the WEG on September 12-13.

U.S. athletes interested in competing in the WEG Endurance Test Event were required to complete an application of interest. U.S. Endurance Chef d’Equipe/Technical Advisor Mark Dial, in consultation with the selectors, invited the Test Event combinations based on the WEG Endurance Test Event invitation criteria. An invitation to compete at the WEG Endurance Test Event does not imply an athlete has been selected to the WEG U.S. Endurance team or has an advantage to make the WEG team.

The following athlete-and-horse combinations, listed in alphabetical order, have been invited to compete at the WEG Endurance Test Event:

Erin Champion (Clinton, Tenn.) with Natalie Muzzio’s Landroval, a 2010 Arabian gelding

Gwen Hall (Woodland Park, Colo.) with Alex Shampoe’s TA KWIK Dance, a 2010 Arabian gelding

Erin Lemmons-Innes (Hico, Texas) with Jessica Lemmons’s Highh Treason, a 2011 Arabian gelding

The following combinations were named as alternates and are listed in ranked order:

Holly Corcoran (Stroudsburg, Pa.) with her own Authentika, a 2002 Arabian mare

Tracy Hofstrand (Campbell, Calif.) with her own FLF Forever Champion, a 2002 Half-Arabian gelding

Danielle Crouse (Lexington, Ohio) with Valerie Kanavy’s Flash Goldon, a 2009 Arabian gelding

Kelsey Russell (Williston, Fla.) with Carlos Lleras Figueroa’s Amir El Arab AT, a 2011 Arabian gelding

Meg Sleeper (Frenchtown, N.J.) with her own Syrocco Sonido, a 2010 Arabian gelding
