Lexington, Ky. - The United States Equestrian Federation (US Equestrian) and the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) will conduct a joint Town Hall meeting on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. ET at the Upperville Horse Show in Upperville, Va.
 
The purpose of the meeting is to engage US Equestrian and USHJA members in a meaningful dialogue about quality competitions and evaluations, doping, and medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA). US Equestrian and USHJA leadership will use the feedback obtained during this meeting to inform sport administration practices moving forward.
 
US Equestrian CEO Bill Moroney and Chief Compliance Officer Matt Fine, along with USHJA President Mary Babick, will lead the discussion.
 
“Equestrian sport is facing some significant challenges regardless of discipline or breed. It is our hope that people will attend this meeting with the goal of exchanging information and identifying areas and ideas to address these issues and improve our sport,” states Moroney.
 
All US Equestrian and USHJA members are invited to attend the session held in the Hunter VIP Area at the Upperville Horse Show on June 5 at 5:30 p.m. Open feedback is encouraged. This session is part of US Equestrian and USHJA’s commitment to maintaining integrity within the sport.
 
“We know our members in the area are very interested in these topics, and we look forward to an open dialogue that will help shape how the two organizations move forward,” says Babick. “We encourage members to attend and continue to look for more Town Hall opportunities.”
