Lexington, Ky. - Consistent with its goal of transparency and good governance, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will openly review the science and use of Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (Depo-Provera®) in competition horses during a public workshop on Monday, March 13, in Orlando, Fla. Your participation is essential in helping the USEF determine if it is necessary to change the rules regarding the use of this substance at USEF licensed competitions. The USEF will provide members, stakeholders, and industry experts two ways to participate.
- Through the moderated, public workshop: an expert panel will hear presentations from you, the membership, as well as industry experts, prior to making a report to the Board of Directors at its Mid-Year Meeting. This will be a presentation format rather than a Q&A so that the panelists may focus on listening to the membership and the science.
- Through written comments: comments may be submitted by emailing [email protected] and received by the USEF no later than one week following the public workshop.
