In 2021, Erin Nichols secured a Team Gold Medal at the North American Youth Championships (NAYC) aboard Handsome Rob AR. The following year, she continued her success, winning Individual Freestyle Gold and Team Silver at the 2022 NAYC. That same year, she was selected for the U.S. Dressage Young Rider European Tour, where she competed at both the International de Dressage de Compiègne CDIY in Compiègne, FRA., and Future Champions CDIOY Hagen in Hagen, GER. Nichols and new mount, Elian Royale, made their partnership debut during the summer of 2022. 

In 2023, Nichols and Eilan Royale competed in the U25 Nations Cup in Wellington, Fla., winning a Silver team medal. The duo continued their success by winning Bronze at CHIO Aachen. 

2024 marked a milestone for Nichols, as she made her Senior Nations Cup debut in Wellington, Fla., where she and Elian Royale earned an Individual Bronze Medal in the Grand Prix Special. They also competed at the CDIU25 in Hagen, GER.
