Valentine has been ridden and competed by U.S. dressage athlete Ashley Holzer since her 7-year-old year in 2017. Valentine made her debut at the Grand Prix level with Holzer in 2020, winning the FEI Grand Prix – O, AA, J/Y at Gold Coast Dressage Made in the Shade I in August of that year with a score of 78.152. The pair went on to win both the FEI Grand Prix and FEI Grand Prix Special at Adequan® Global Dressage Festival Fall I in November 2020.

In 2021, Valentine and Holzer racked up wins in the FEI Grand Prix at AGDF 3 and AGDF 10. In 2022, they returned to AGDF to win the CDI3* FEI Grand Prix and FEI Grand Prix Special at Week 11 in March. They were selected to represent The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ The Netherlands in Rotterdam in June 2022, where they finished third in the Grand Prix and fifth in the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music, helping the team secure a second-place finish overall.
