Serenade MF

Serenade MF is an American-bred Hanoverian mare bred by Maryanna Haymon and owned and ridden by U.S. dressage athlete Alice Tarjan. She was shown successfully as a in-hand as a filly with Brendan Curtis and in Materiale classes as a three-year-old with Kimberly Kotch. In 2017, she made her competitive debut with Tarjan in a season highlighted by wins in both USEF Four-Year-Old Tests at Dressage at Lamplight.

Serenade MF had a breakout season in 2021, winning the FEI Intermediate II Test and the Markel/USEF Developing Horse Grand Prix Test to be named the USEF Developing Horse Grand Prix Dressage National Champion at the 2021 U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions. In November of that year, Serenade MF and Tarjan won the Intermediate II and Grand Prix Championships for adult amateurs at the US Dressage Finals presented by Adequan®.

Serenade MF and Tarjan started their 2022 season off with wins in the CDI4* Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby. They represented the U.S. at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup The Netherlands CDIO5* at CHIO Rotterdam in June, earning a third-place finish in the Grand Prix Special and helping the U.S. win the silver medal. The pair was named the first alternate for The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the ECCO FEI World Championships. Upon returning to the U.S., Serenade MF and Tarjan won the USEF Grand Prix Dressage National Championship at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions. They then won the CDI-W Grand Prix and Freestyle at Dressage at Devon.

Serenade MF and Tarjan started off 2023 with fifth-place finishes in the CDI-W Grand Prix and Freestyle at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival Week 5.
