Carissimo 25, affectionately known as "Ducky," a 2013 Holsteiner gelding, has quickly made a name for himself in the show jumping arena since teaming up with rider Aaron Vale in July 2023. 
 
The story behind Ducky's nickname is a charming one. Originally named “Curly,” he was renamed Ducky due to Vale's playful remark about the horse "ducking" him throughout his career. The name also has a personal touch, as Debbie Smith, part of The Carissimo Group, is a Jeep enthusiast who decorates her vehicle with rubber ducks—a playful nod to the owner. 
 
Since their partnership began, Carissimo 25 and Vale have achieved significant successes in various competitions. One of the highlights of their 2024 season came at the CSIO5* Nations Cup of Ireland, where Ducky was a key member of the winning team, placing third overall in the Rolex Grand Prix of Ireland, and showcasing his competitive edge and resilience on an international stage. 
 
In December 2024, Ducky continued to shine at the CSI5* MLSJ event in Thermal, California. He delivered an outstanding performance, finishing second in the $1,000,000 Brown Advisory Coachella Cup Grand Prix. He also secured an impressive eighth place in the $62,500 MLSJ FEI 5* Team Individual competition.
