After starting his young horse career with Sweden’s Py Jågerden, Tornado began his U.S. show career on the West Coast in early 2023 with Jamie Gornall and Nick Haness in national jumper classes. Skyler Wireman took over the ride that summer, quickly finding success in the Grand Prix classes. 

“Tomato” and Wireman won the $250,000 Longines FEI World Cup Qualifier CSI4*-W and were second in the 1.50m welcome stake at the Fort Worth International in December of 2023. In 2024, they finished third in the $62,500 CSI5* Canadian Individual and fourth in the $340,000 CSI5* Major League Show Jumping Grand Prix 1.55m at Thunderbird Show Park in Canada. They went on to represent Zone 10 at the 2024 FEI North American Youth Championships, then were part of the winning team at the $300,000 MLSJ FEI5* Team Competition in Ontario, Canada.

In 2025, Tomato and Wireman were selected to represent the U.S. at the Longines League of Nations Abu Dhabi CSIO5*.
