Z joined Phillip Dutton’s string of horses in 2015 and quickly became one of his top mounts, earning The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI3*-L Eventing Reserve National Champion honors at The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International that fall. In 2017, Dutton and Z won the Ocala Jockey Club CCI4*-S and placed fifth in the Tattersalls CCI4*-L in Ireland.

In 2018, the pair won The Fork CCI4*-S and took home Land Rover/USEF CCI5*-L Eventing Reserve National Championship honors after finishing fourth overall in the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. Dutton and Z were members of the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon and were the highest-placed U.S. combination, finishing 13th individually.

In 2019, Dutton and Z won the Stable View Oktoberfest CCI4*-S and placed seventh in the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ CCI5*-L and The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International CCI4*-L.

In 2020, Z and Dutton made their Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Additionally, the duo scored the Buckeye Nutrition USEF CCI4*-L Eventing Reserve National Champion honors at the MARS Tryon International Three-Day Event to close out the 2020 season. Dutton and Z began 2021 with a second-place finish in the Stable View Spring CCI4*-S, followed by an eighth-place finish in the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian CCI5*-L. This partnership is having a strong 2022 season so far with a second-place finish in a CCI4*-S in Tryon, North Carolina.
