Taylor Bradish was first introduced to combined driving at 16 years old in her hometown of Flagstaff, Ariz. She was working for an Olympic-level dressage rider, whose husband was a combined driver. Three years later, Bradish decided to move across the U.S. to begin training at Katydid Farm in Windsor, S.C. Her passion for the sport grew as she trained horses and worked as a groom, then she eventually began competing in the sport. 

Bradish started her partnership with Katydid Duchess in 2016, beginning with training level combined driving events. They gradually moved up the ranks to the advanced and FEI level. They won their first USEF Advanced Single Horse Combined Driving National Championship at Live Oak International in 2020. Later that year, they were selected to represent the U.S. at the 2020 FEI Driving World Championship for Single Horses in Pau, France, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bradish and Katdid Duchess stayed in top form and won the 2021 and 2022 USEF Advanced Single Horse Combined Driving National Championships. The pair were named to the U.S. team for the 2022 and 2024 FEI Combined Driving World Championship.

Raymond Helmuth grew up in an Amish family in Iowa, and horses were a way of life. His family’s livelihood for several generations was training horses for clients, and Helmuth followed in the family business. He eventually went out and started working in the horse industry with jobs ranging from driving and training Percherons to being a farrier. Helmuth decided he wanted to be a horse trainer and moved back to Iowa to start his own business. Competing in carriage driving and combined driving piqued Helmuth’s interest while he was working with a client’s horse in 2014. He began to compete and has found much success in the show ring.

Helmuth and Kendro have partnered for top results as they moved up the levels. The pair won the 2020 USEF Preliminary Single Horse Combined Driving National Championship at the Florida Spring Fling CDE before climbing to the intermediate and advanced level in 2021. In 2022, Helmuth and Kendro were USEF Reserve National Champions for Advanced Single Horses. They won the national championship again in 2024 at Katydid CDE. The pair were also selected to repesent the U.S. team internationally at the FEI Driving World Championship for Single Horses in 2022 and 2024.

Ever since she was young, Carrie Ostrowski has dreamed of representing the U.S. on the world stage. When she began doing combined driving, she kept her big goal in mind as she moved up the levels of the sport.

Ostrowski found a star partner in Gellerduht ("Gus”). The pair began competing at the international level in 2019. The following year, they were named as alternates for the 2020 FEI Driving World Championship for Singles, which was eventually canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, they were third in Live Oak International CAI3*-H1, the USEF Advanced Single Horse Combined Driving Reserve National Championship at the Katydid CDE, and the Kentucky Classic CDE CAI3*-H1.
