Charlene Dugan is a junior endurance athlete on the rise. In 2020, Dugan guided Cognac Amberfyre to the win in the Broxton Bridge CEIYJ1* 100 km ride, followed by a win with Dude Free Gold in the Foxcatcher CEIYJ1* 100 km ride. She closed out the year with a win in the Greenway Gallivant CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with Tarbes Gold.

In 2021, Dugan tallied wins in the FITS CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with Gold N Charm and the Broxton Bridge CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Perseveranze. She finished second with Southern Justice in the Broxton Bridge January and May CEIYJ2* 120 km rides and with Perseveranze in the FITS CEIYJ2* 120 km ride.

Alex Shampoe was the winner of the Brunjes Trophy in 2018 as the top U.S. endurance rider in the junior or young rider ranks. The following year, she was a member of the U.S. Endurance Team at the 2019 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors in Italy with Dude Free Gold. In 2021, she competed at the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors in Ermelo, Netherlands, with Promissin Gold, where they finished 14th individually and helped the U.S. to a fifth-place team finish.

Shampoe’s 2024 successes at CEI3* 160 km rides include a win at Rocky Road in Texas with her own Southern Justice and wins at Ride in the Pines and the Elkton CEI3* with Valerie Kanavy’s Promissin Gold.

Meghan Wert is a junior endurance athlete who has collected top international results. In 2020, she and Tarbes Gold won the Broxton Bridge CEIYJ1* 100 km ride. In 2021, Wert earned a FITS CEIYJ2* 120 km ride win with Dude Free Gold. She also finished second in the CEIYJ1* 100 km ride with Touch Gold and the CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Dude Free Gold at Broxton Bridge and the FITS CEIYJ2* 120 km ride with Tarbes Gold. Wert and Dude Free Gold were members of the U.S. Endurance Team at the 2021 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors in Ermelo, Netherlands, helping the U.S. to a fifth-place team finish. In 2022, Wert and Gilted Gold clinched wins in the Celebration CEIYJ2* 120 km ride and the Spring Ride in the Low Country CEIYJ2* 120 km ride.
