The jumping community always knew Robert Ridland as a great rider, but now they also see him as the brilliant, strategic mind guiding the U.S. Jumping team to unprecedented success. Ridland brings several decades of international experience both as an athlete and coach to the role of Chef d'Equipe. As an athlete he competed in the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games and won several grand prix competitions throughout his riding career. Ridland has been extensively involved in the governance of the sport, including several terms as a board member of US Equestrian and the United States Equestrian Team Foundation.

Jirenze joined U.S. jumping athlete Taylor Kain in 2023, and together the pair have moved from the CSI1* to the CSI5* level over their first seasons together. In 2024, they were selected to represent the U.S. at the CSIO3* Nations Cup at Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, where the team finished in third place. Jirenze and Kain returned to Vejer the following month to post a top ten finish in the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix. In 2025, Jirenze and Kain were selected to represent the U.S. at the Longines League of Nations Abu Dhabi CSIO5*.
