US Equestrian trains, selects, and funds our United States Equestrian Teams, which consistently win medals at the highest level of international competition, including the Olympic Games, World Equestrian Games, Pan American Games, Nations Cups, and World Championships. The three Olympic disciplines of dressage, eventing, and show jumping have been included in every Summer Olympic Games since 1912 and the U.S. has been a powerhouse competitor since the beginning. The U.S. currently ranks second on the all-time medal table with 52 Team and Individual medals.

In addition to the three Olympic sports, the United States fields teams in combined driving, endurance, vaulting, reining, and para equestrian competitions.

Equestrian is the only sport in which men and women compete as equals in all events. In 1964, when women were first permitted to compete in Olympic eventing, the U.S. fielded the first eventing team to include a woman, Lana DuPont, who contributed to a Team Silver medal-win.

The U.S. has also fielded teams in each of the Paralympic Games since para-dressage’s inception at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, capturing four Individual medals.

The USET Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel and educational needs of America’s elite and developing International High Performance athletes and horses in partnership with US Equestrian. Consider donating to the USET Foundation to support U.S. athletes and promote international excellence.
