Hampton Classic Delays Start Until Wednesday

Bridgehampton, NY — The Hampton Classic Horse Show has announced that it is delaying the start of this year's event until Wednesday due to the anticipated effects of hurricane Irene. Originally scheduled to open on Sunday, the Classic is delaying its start because of the need to take down all tents and horse stalls and then reconstruct them. Since my last correspondence, we have experienced many fabulous events here in Conty! The opening ceremonies certainly did not disappoint anyone as several breeds were displayed. Bridgehampton, NY — After communicating with the National Weather Service and the Town of Southampton's head of emergency management monitoring Hurricane Irene, the Hampton Classic has announced that activities scheduled for its Opening Day on Sunday, August 28 will not be taking place.
