In her youth career, Anna Buffini rode Sundayboy to wins in the FEI Young Rider Team and Individual Tests at the 2014 U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions. That same year, they were members of the gold-medal team at the FEI North American Youth Championships.

Buffini placed first and second in the 2016 USEF Young Adult Brentina Cup Dressage National Championship with Sundayboy and Wilton II, respectively. At the 2019 USEF Festival of Champions, she came back with Wilton II to win the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle 16-25 en route to becoming Brentina Cup Reserve National Champion.

In 2021, Buffini earned several top results early in the season with FRH Davinia la Douce, placing third in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special CDI3* at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival Week 10 and third in the Grand Prix Freestyle CDI-W at AGDF 5. Buffini competed abroad for the first time, riding FRH Davinia la Douce at the Achleiten CDI4*, CHIO Rotterdam, and CHIO Aachen. At CHIO Aachen, Buffini made her senior team debut and finished fourth in the FEI Grand Prix Special. 

The following year, Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce competed in their first FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final, finishing ninth in the Freestyle. They spent the spring competing in Europe, finishing second in the Achleiten CDI4* Grand Prix. In the fall, Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce were second in the Grand Prix and Freestyle CDI-W at Desert Dressage II and III. 

In 2023, Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce were second in the Grand Prix and Freestyle CDI-W at Desert Dressage IV. They headed to the East Coast and won to the Grand Prix and Freestyle CDI-W at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby. Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce were sixth in the Freestyle of the FEI Dressage World Cup Final in Omaha. The pair then won the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special CDI3* at the Spring Benefit CDI.

Katie Johnson Duerrhammer has had success through the Grand Prix level with Quartett, Kylee Lourie’s Brandenburg gelding, since getting the ride on him ahead of the 2020 competition season. In 2021, the pair earned good scores and top placings, including second place in the FEI Grand Prix at week 11 of the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, third place in the FEI Grand Prix Test at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions, and third place and a personal best score of 71.533 in the CDI4* FEI Grand Prix at Tryon Spring Dressage. They kicked off the 2022 season with wins in the CDI3* FEI Grand Prix Special at AGDF 3 and the CDI4* FEI Grand Prix at AGDF 5. They were selected to represent The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup^TM Germany CDIO5* in the summer of 2022.

With Kylee Lourie’s Westphalian gelding, Paxton, Duerrhammer earned scores in the 70s and wins in the FEI Grand Prix and FEI Grand Prix Special at AGDF 6 in 2022. They went on to win the CDI3* FEI Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at World Equestrian Center Dressage III before being named to The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team for the 2022 FEI Dressage Nations Cup The Netherlands CDIO5*.

Duerrhammer is an alumna of the North American Youth Championship, having won team and individual gold as part of Region 7 in 2008 with Pam Brown-Schachter’s KWPN gelding, Millenium.

German native Guenter Seidel moved to the U.S. in 1985 and immediately made an impact on U.S. dressage. Seidel aided the U.S. in winning the team bronze medal at three consecutive Olympic Games with different horses: at the 1996 Atlanta Games with Graf George, the 2000 Sydney Games with Foltaire, and the 2004 Athens Games with Aragon. He was also a member of the U.S. teams for the FEI World Equestrian Games in 2002 and 2006 where the teams won silver and bronze, respectively.

Seidel also has represented the U.S. at numerous FEI Nations Cup competitions, including in 2011 in the CDIO5* at Aachen with U II and in 2013 at the CDIO3* at Hickstead with Coral Reef Wylea.

Seidel has had a strong 2021 season with Louise Leatherdale’s Dutch Warmblood mare Equirelle, winning the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle CDI4* at Adequan Global Dressage Festival 3 in January and the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special CDI3* at Golden State Dressage Festival in April.
