The 2022 FEI World Championships will be hosted in Herning, Denmark, this summer from August 6-15, 2022, and feature four international disciplines, including dressage, para dressage, vaulting, and jumping. The FEI World Championships are held every four years, and were formerly held with all eight international disciplines together in one location, and are the pinnacle for equestrian sport serving as one of two Olympic qualifying events for the disciplines of dressage, eventing, show jumping, and para dressage. In 2022, the competition will be held at MCH Messecenter Herning, also known as Stutteri ASK Stadium during the event. US Equestrian will field four teams during the championship with a team competing in jumping, dressage, para dressage, and vaulting.
The FEI World Championships are held in the middle of the summer Olympic quadrennial and are one of the largest events on the global equestrian sporting calendar. For the first time since 1990, these championships will be split across the disciplines, with eventing, driving, and endurance beind held later this fall at two different venues in Italy.
