George Williams

Hometown: Wellington, Fla. Sport/Disciplines: Dressage

George Williams has dedicated his life to the sport of dressage, having competed both nationally and internationally at the highest levels. He began his riding career in New Hampshire as a young child in Pony Club and 4H before transitioning his career to Europe, where he trained with the Tempel Lipizzans for almost 20 years. He then proceeded to represent the U.S. Dressage Team in international competition in the early 2000s with appearances at FEI World Cup Finals and Aachen.

Hallye Griffin

Hometown: Lexington, Ky. Birthday: 7/4/1986 Sport/Disciplines: Dressage

Hallye Griffin grew up in Lexington, Ky., competing in the discipline of eventing and as a member of the United States Pony Club. She attended Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky., and majored in Political Science. Beginning her employment in the 2010 Alltech® FEI World Equestrian Games Organizing Committee in the Competition Department, in 2011, Griffin joined US Equestrian as the Director of Dressage National Programs. Following the 2015 Pan American Games, Griffin was promoted to Managing Director, Dressage. Griffin’s role as team leader includes managing all logistics around the selection process and preparation for the Olympics, as well as coordinating the day-to-day plans for the U.S. Dressage Team while at the Olympics.

Katie Duerrhammer

In 2022, Katie Johnson Duerrhammer was named to The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team for the FEI Dressage Nations CupTM The Netherlands with Paxton and the FEI Dressage Nations CupTM Germany with Quartett. As a Young Rider, Duerrhammer won individual gold in the Young Rider Individual Championship at the 2008 North American Youth Championship with Millenium. She was also part of the Region 7 team that won gold at the same event.

Quartett is a Grand Prix dressage horse who competes at the international level with U.S. athlete Katie Duerrhammer. In 2022, the pair represented the U.S. at the FEI Dressage Nations CupTM USA CDIO3* in Wellington, Fla., where the team won second place, and at the FEI Nations Cup CDIO5* at CHIO Aachen in Germany.

Ashley Holzer

Hometown: Wellington, Fla. Birthday: 10/10/1963 Sport/Disciplines: Dressage Olympic Years: 1988, 2004, 2008, 2012

Ashley Holzer represented her native Canada at four Olympic Games and three FEI World Equestrian Games before deciding to compete for the U.S. beginning in 2017. Since then, she has been part of the gold medal-winning team with Havanna 145 at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup – USA CDIO3* in 2018 and again at the same event in 2019 with Valentine. In 2022, she finished in the top ten at the FEI World Cup Final with Havanna 145, and helped the U.S. Dressage Team win silver at the FEI Nations Cup – The Netherlands with Valentine.

Valentine and Ashley Holzer have successfully represented the U.S. Dressage Team on the world stage. Highlights of their competitive record include wins at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival Fall I in 2020 in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special and wins in the FEI Grand Prix at AGDF-3 in 2021 and again at AGDF-10. In 2022, they were part of the silver medal-winning team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup – The Netherlands, where they finished third individually in the Grand Prix and fifth in the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music.

Adrienne Lyle

Hometown: Wellington, Fla. Birthday: 1/2/1985 Sport/Disciplines: Dressage Olympic Years: 2012, 2020

Adrienne Lyle is an Olympic dressage athlete who represented the U.S. at the 2012 London Games riding Wizard and at the 2020 Tokyo Games with Salvino, where the team won silver. She also represented the U.S. Dressage team at the 2014 FEI Alltech® World Equestrian Games™ in Normandy, France, and again as part of the silver medal-winning team at the 2018 WEG in Tryon, N.C., riding Salvino. The pair returned to the FEI Dressage World Championship in 2022 in Denmark where they earned top-ten finishes individually.

 

Salvino

Salvino was part of the team silver medal efforts at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the FEI World Equestrian Games Tryon 2018 with Adrienne Lyle. The pair was the 2017 USEF Grand Prix Dressage Reserve National Champions and earned team medals in FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ competitions in Germany, the Netherlands, and the U.S. in 2018. They went on to place seventh at the 2019 FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final in Göteborg, Sweden. In 2022, they placed second at the CDI4* FEI Grand Prix at CHIO Aachen.

Steffen Peters

Hometown: San Diego, Calif. Birthday: 9/18/1964 Sport/Disciplines: Dressage Olympic Years: 1996, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020

Steffen Peters is a five-time Olympian for Team USA, including as a team bronze medalist in Rio de Janeiro 2016 with Legolas 92 and Atlanta 1996 with Udon, and a team silver medalist in Tokyo 2020 with Suppenkasper. He has also represented the U.S. at five FEI World Championships, with a team silver from Tryon 2018, individual bronze from Lexington 2010, and team bronze from Aachen 2006. He is a two-time individual and team gold medalist at the Toronto 2015 and 2011 Guadalajara Pan American Games, and, in 2009, he won his first FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final with Ravel.

 

Suppenkasper

Suppenkasper has been the top ride for U.S. dressage athlete Steffen Peters since 2018. He was part of the silver medal-winning teams at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018. “Mopsie” has been part of FEI Nations Cup Teams in 2019 in Aachen, Germany, where the team finished in third place, and again in Aachen in 2022. The duo were selected to represent the U.S. Olympic Dressage Team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, marking Peters' seventh Olympic appearance and Suppenkasper's second.
