A Rolex "Runway"...

by Brian Sosby | Apr 27, 2011, 4:00 PM

One of the things I always find interesting during the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event (hencefo rth referred to as – RK3DE) is the first horse inspection, or the jog. Not just the presentation of the horses for the inspection, but on a more free-spirited level, I find it fun to see what the eventers wear. I think it says a bit about their personalities and what they seem to feel fits their own personal style. Take a look at Buck Davidson's bright red and yellow polka dot socks that he...

Who'll Stop the Rain?

by Joanie Morris | Apr 26, 2011, 9:11 PM

It seems to be the question on everyone's mind as the water continues to pour from the Kentucky sky. Despite a brief afternoon respite on Tuesday, the forecast remains grim for the next 36 hours. The Organizing Committee moved the first horse inspection from 3 PM to 10 AM to try to get the best of the weather as it continues to deteriorate Wednesday afternoon. Anyone living in the Midwest path of the storms won't find any of this information surprising but we have been beat up for weeks...
