More than 230 items have been donated for the 2005 Annual American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) Auction, which takes place Wednesday and Thursday, August 24-25, during the World’s Championship Horse Show in Louisville, KY. Last year, the auction raised more than $40,000 for the ASHA youth scholarship program and other youth programs. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is protecting Kentucky's multi-billion-dollar stake in its equine and cattle industries from an outbreak of vesicular stomatitis (VS) that has spread through four southwestern states.
